Ofcom has today accredited DigitalCompare for its price comparison service.
Ofcom accreditation is awarded to price comparison services after they have passed a rigorous independent audit.
This ensures that the comparisons they provide are accessible, accurate, transparent, comprehensive and up-to-date.
Launched this year, DigitalCompare provides information for consumers to compare the costs of landline, broadband and digital TV packages.
Lindsey Fussell, Director of Ofcom’s Consumer Group, said: “Price comparison websites play an important role in helping people navigate the market and choose the best deal for them. Ofcom’s stringent accreditation scheme makes sure that the information provided by these sites is accurate, comprehensive and transparent.”
Adam Cable, Director of DigitalCompare, said: “We are pleased to receive the Ofcom accreditation as it will ensure our customers can be confident that even though we are relative new-comers to the market, we have a high-quality website that provides a trustworthy source of Landline, Broadband and Digital TV comparison information.”
DigitalCompare is the seventh price comparison website currently accredited under the Ofcom scheme and joins BillMonitor, BroadbandChoices, Broadband.co.uk, Cable.co.uk, MobilePhoneChecker and SimplifyDigital.
